Decline Curve Analysis — Arps with EUR
PO Add-inComplete Arps decline analysis: forecast rate and cumulative production over 20 years, calculate EUR at economic limit, and compare b-exponent sensitivity (b=0, 0.5, 1.0). Named input cells for qi, Di, b, and economic limit rate.
Side-by-side comparison of three decline models with EUR analysis. Named inputs for all model parameters. 21 time steps out to 360 months with model spread analysis.
Three-phase field production profile with formula-derived phase transitions. Named input cells for buildup time, plateau duration, plateau rate, and decline parameters. 25 time steps out to 120 months.
Inflow Performance & Nodal Analysis
PO Add-inDemonstrates IPR curves using Fetkovich and Vogel models, then overlays a single-phase VFP (tubing performance) curve to find the well operating point. The intersection of IPR and VFP is the most fundamental production engineering calculation.
Sizes an electric submersible pump that runs inverted in a downhole water sink (DWS) or downhole water loop (DWL) completion: water drained below the oil–water contact is pumped down through an isolation packer and re-injected into the base of the same aquifer. Nothing is lifted to surface, so the system curve is drainage drawdown plus injection build-up plus a short friction path — for a hydrostatically connected aquifer, a straight line through the origin.
Single-Phase Liquid Pipe Flow
PO Add-inSingle-phase liquid flow in vertical tubing with named inputs and rate sensitivity analysis. Shows friction loss, gravity head, Reynolds number, and required BHP at 14 rate points.
A diagram of a surface gathering system, drawn from a table. Wells with wellhead pictures, chokes, a manifold, production and test separators and the outlets they feed (gas to the compressor, oil export, water disposal) are joined by flowline connectors glued to the shapes, so dragging a shape in Excel keeps its lines attached. The Network sheet is the table the drawing was generated from — a row for every piece of equipment and every connector — so the diagram cannot show a link the table does not hold.
Tapered Rod String Analysis
PO Add-inStatic loads, stress and stretch for a sucker rod string made of up to four rod sizes. Each taper is one row, top taper first; unused rows are left blank. For each taper it returns the rod area, the weight in air and in the well fluid, the load and stress at the top of the taper and the taper's stretch. For the string it returns the static peak and minimum polished rod loads, the highest rod stress and the total stretch.
