Frequently Asked Questions
Does Petroleum Office work with Office for Mac?
Petroleum office is available only for Excel 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 and Office 365 for Windows. We have looked into developing a Mac version of Petroleum Office, but unfortunately, Office for Mac doesn’t provide the necessary interfaces.
How can I update?
To update an existing copy of Petroleum Office, just install the new version over the existing copy. It’s that simple.
I lost my license code. Can you help?
Simply send us a message with enough details to identify your order (usually your email address is all we need), and we will resend your license details as soon as possible.
Petroleum Office isn’t working as expected. What can I do?
The first thing you should check is whether you are using the latest version of Petroleum Office. You can do this by clicking the Check for Updates button in the Petroleum Office Ribbon.
If your version of Petroleum Office is up-to-date, please contact us describing the problem.
We will do our best to get back to you with a solution.
How do I enter my license code to unlock the full version?
To enter the license details, please start Excel, and switch to the “Petroleum Office” Ribbon. Next, click the “Settings” button and choose “Licensing” tab and click “Activate”. Follow the dialog and input license code sent in your order confirmation email.
I installed the add-in but it didn't appear in Excel.
Most likely you need to run the setup file as Administrator. Right-click on setup file and choose menu run as administrator. Also check documentation section for more suggestions.
