Description

Field-level production forecasting using buildup-plateau-decline model. Models the complete production lifecycle: ramp-up to plateau, sustained plateau production, and Arps decline phase.

Parameters:

  • t_buildup: Time from first production to reach plateau rate (ramp-up period)
  • t_plateau: Duration of plateau period at constant rate
  • Q_plateau: Target plateau production rate
  • Di: Initial decline rate after plateau ends
  • b: Arps b-factor (0=exponential, 0.5=hyperbolic, 1=harmonic)

Units: the plateau rate is bbl/month against buildup/plateau durations and a time column in months, so the cumulative column is a true volume (shown as Mstb). The field-profile functions are unit-agnostic — rate and time must share the same time base.
