Pipeline and Network Simulation Functions
Run a well, pipe or flowline in Marlim3, Petrobras's open-source multiphase flow simulator, from the worksheet: a long-form Deck range in the network dialect goes to the engine on this computer, and its summary (liquid rate, the pressure at each end, the developed friction gradient), its profiles along the pipe or its trend stations spill back in the deck's units, a row per branch for a network of branches. CHECK binds the deck in Excel and starts nothing, and says which values the binding supplies or replaces. Build the deck from a few input tables (spec, vertices, edges, terminals, properties, schedule) with the NET functions, which run in Excel and start nothing.
7 functions
PO.SIM.MR3.CHECK
Checks a network deck without running it: whether Marlim3 can run it, its title, units and run kind, its problems, and every value the binding supplies or replaces.
PO.SIM.MR3.SUMMARY
Runs the network deck in Marlim3 and spills one row per branch: branch, day, liquid rate, the pressure where the branch starts and ends, and the developed friction gradient, in the deck's units.
PO.SIM.MR3.PROFILE
Runs the network deck in Marlim3 and spills its profiles along the pipe long: branch | property | duct | cell | length | unit | day | value, in the deck's units.
PO.SIM.MR3.TREND
Runs the network deck in Marlim3 and spills its trend stations long: station | length | day | property | unit | value, in the deck's units. A station is a TREND row in the deck. Production branches only, one sample at t = 0, and not for networks.
PO.SIM.MR3.RUN
Runs the network deck in Marlim3 and spills how the run went: the engine, the run kind, the time taken, how a network converged, and every value the binding supplied or replaced.
PO.SIM.NET.BUILD
Builds a network Deck from input tables: spec, vertices, edges and terminals, with properties, schedule, groups and connections when the case has them. Spills the Deck the PO.SIM.MR3 functions run.
PO.SIM.NET.CHECK
Checks the input tables NET.BUILD reads: each table's problems, naming the table and the row, or 'No problems found.'
