Description

Calculate well productivity index (PI) and understand the impact of skin damage. Also shows drainage radius and effective wellbore radius calculations.

Key Relationships:

  • PI = kh / (141.2 * Bo * Uo * [ln(re/rw) + s])
  • Higher skin reduces PI (damaged well)
  • Negative skin increases PI (stimulated well)
How to use this blueprint
  1. In Excel, go to the Petroleum Office ribbon tab and click Blueprint Manager
  2. Search for Productivity Index Calculation
  3. Click on the blueprint to preview the spreadsheet template
  4. Click Insert to place it into your worksheet. Modify the input values to match your data.
