Well Control Kill Sheet (Wait & Weight)
A Wait & Weight kill sheet on one page. Enter the well, the drill string and the slow circulating rate pressure ahead of time. Once the well is shut in and stable, add SIDPP, SICP and the pit gain. The sheet returns the kill mud weight, the initial and final circulating pressures, the strokes and time to the bit and for one full circulation, MAASP with the original and the kill mud, an estimate of the influx height and gradient, and the drill pipe pressure schedule as a table and a chart. Three checks flag a casing pressure at or above MAASP, a kill mud as heavy as the shoe's leak-off, and an influx tall enough to reach the casing.
BOP Accumulator Sizing
Sizes a BOP accumulator unit. Enter the bottle size, the precharge, the minimum and fully charged operating pressures, the bottles installed and a design factor, and list the fluid each BOP function takes. The sheet returns the usable fluid per bottle, the fluid required, the number of bottles that needs and the pressure left after operating every function once with the pumps off. Checks cover the bottle count, the remaining pressure and the precharge margin. A chart shows accumulator pressure against the fluid drawn, with the minimum operating pressure and the required volume marked.
Drilling Hydraulics & ECD Program
The whole circulating system of one well on one page. Enter Fann 35 readings from the mud check, the flow rate, the nozzle sizes and the pore and fracture pressures. The sheet fits Bingham plastic, power-law and Herschel-Bulkley models and plots them against the readings. It computes the pressure loss in each drill string component and in each of the six annulus sections (collars, heavy-weight and drill pipe, each against open hole and against casing), and gives the bit pressure drop, jet velocity, hydraulic horsepower, HSI and impact force. These add up to the standpipe pressure and the share of it spent at the bit. The ECD at the shoe and at TD is charted against the pore and fracture window, with checks on both and on static overbalance.
Hole Cleaning & Solids Control
What the hole does to the mud, and what the mud says about the hole. For the planned ROP the sheet works out the cuttings volume per foot, the cuttings concentration in the returns, the annular velocities and the highest ROP that keeps the annulus mud weight under a limit, with that limit charted against flow rate. It gives the solids content from the mud weight and the dilution needed to bring a heavy system back to weight. Two marker calculations use the well's geometry. A drill pipe washout depth comes from the strokes until a marker is seen back at surface, and the average open-hole diameter and excess volume come from a carbide lag.
Directional Survey Calculator (Minimum Curvature)
Works a directional survey by minimum curvature. Enter MD, inclination and azimuth for each station below a tie-in. The sheet returns, for every course, the course length, dogleg angle, dogleg severity and ratio factor, and for every station the TVD, north and east coordinates and vertical section. Courses over the DLS limit are flagged. At TD it summarises the TVD, coordinates, vertical section, closure distance and azimuth, and the highest dogleg. Plan-view and vertical-section charts show the well path.
