Description

Estimate rock (formation) compressibility using Newman's correlations. Rock compressibility is critical for material balance calculations and pressure transient analysis.

Newman Correlations:

  • Sandstone: Higher compressibility at low porosity
  • Limestone: Generally lower compressibility than sandstone
How to use this blueprint
  1. In Excel, go to the Petroleum Office ribbon tab and click Blueprint Manager
  2. Search for Rock Compressibility Estimation
  3. Click on the blueprint to preview the spreadsheet template
