Multi-Stage Separator Test

Description

Demonstrates array composability by chaining Flash calculations in a two-stage separator:

  1. Stage 1: Flash feed at separator conditions -> liquid and vapor
  2. Stage 2: Flash Stage 1 liquid at stock-tank conditions -> final oil and gas

The liquid composition output ("x") from Stage 1 feeds directly as the composition input ("zi") for Stage 2, demonstrating the array-in/array-out design.

Required Functions

PO.EoS.Component.Props

Returns component properties [Tc, Pc, omega, Mw] as a row array from the database. Spills horizontally into 4 cells.

PO.EoS.Flash.PR

PT Flash calculation using Peng-Robinson EoS. Returns V (vapor fraction), L (liquid fraction), x (liquid composition), y (vapor composition), or K (K-values) based on output parameter.

PO.EoS.Mixture.Mw

Calculates mixture molecular weight from mole fractions and property table, [kg/mol].

How to use this blueprint
  1. In Excel, go to the Petroleum Office ribbon tab and click Blueprint Manager
  2. Search for Separator Test
  3. Click on the blueprint to preview the spreadsheet template
  4. Click Insert to place it into your worksheet. Modify the input values to match your data.
