PO.DCA.PLE.Prod Function

Description:

Calculates cumulative production using Power Law Exponential (PLE) rate decline model. Units of volume [L3] and time [T] must be consistent.

Excel Function Syntax:

=PO.DCA.PLE.Prod(Qi0, Di0, Dinf, n, time)

Parameters:

Parameter Description
Qi0 Rate "intercept", [L3/T].
Di0 Power-law decline coefficient, [1/T^n].
Dinf Decline constant at "infinite time", [1/T]. D_inf <= Di_intercept
n Time "exponent", [dimensionless].
time Time, [T].

Decline Model Comparison

Compare multiple decline curve models for the same well. Different models may be more appropriate depending on reservoir type and flow regime. Arps is standard for conventional, Duong for unconventional transient, and PLE for tight/shale.
