Description:

Calculates inlet pipe pressure for single phase pipe flow of gas (compressible fluid), [psia].

Excel Function Syntax:

=InletPipePressureGas(Qg, P_out, pipeLength, pipeID, pipeAngle, pipeRoughness, zFactor, T, SGgas, Ug)

Parameters:

QgGas rate, [mscf/d].
P_outOutlet pipe pressure, [psia].
pipeLengthPipe length, [ft].
pipeIDPipe inner diameter, [in].
pipeAnglePipe angle from horizontal, [degrees]. Horizontal flow: angle = 0; Vertical well producer: angle = 90; Vertical well injector: angle = -90.
pipeRoughnessPipe relative roughness, [dimensionless].
zFactorGas compressibility factor (Z), [dimensionless].
TTemperature at middle point of the pipe, [degF].
SGgasGas specific gravity, [dimensionless].
UgGas viscosity, [cP].
