InletPressureGray


Description:

Calculates inlet pipe pressure for multiphase pipe flow using Gray (1974) correlation, [psia]. Commonly used for gas wells that are also producing liquid.

Excel Function Syntax:

=InletPressureGray(Ql, Rho_l, Ul, Qg, SGgas, IFTgl, pipeID, pipeLength, pipeRoughness, pipeAngle, P_out, T)

Parameters:

Rho_lLiquid density, [lb/ft3].
UlLiquid viscosity, [cP].
QgGas rate, [mmscf/d].
SGgasGas specific gravity, [dimensionless].
IFTglLiquid-gas interfacial (surface) tension, [dynes/cm].
pipeIDPipe inner diameter, [in].
pipeLengthPipe length, [ft].
pipeRoughnessPipe relative roughness, [dimensionless].
pipeAnglePipe angle from horizontal, [degrees]. Horizontal flow: angle = 0; Vertical well producer: angle = 90; Vertical well injector: angle = -90.
P_outOutlet pipe pressure, [psia].
TTemperature at middle point of the pipe, [degF].
